My prior review whined about the social programming for nursing floor residents. But in the areas where it really matters, Plymouth Place gets it right. Those nurses on the 3rd floor just saved my relative's life.

Star ratings are often best used for basic comparisons and when deciding which facilities to visit. However, nothing beats actually visiting the nursing home yourself when possible. The last time this data was collected they cared for at least 134 men and 279 women in a one year period that received Medicare benefits. This number fluctuates with each new resident. My mom stayed in Plymouth Place for about a month. What stood out especially with this place was its cleanliness.
A downside to my visit was seeing how small each room was and how cramped the hallways and public areas were. I cannot personally speak about the food quality but I was told directly that the menu changed frequently and was consistently mediocre. Parking for this facility was not ample, but seemed sufficient enough for a weekday visitor like myself. My next visit will surely bring a smile to many of the residents.

Since then, we've placed my mother in law at Aspired Living and she enjoys it there much more. Doing my calculations with an accountant felt that an 86 year old man with Alzheimer's and funds that would last 6 to 7 years wasn't enough for them. They do not explain that when you take a tour that you probably will need one million dollars in assets to be accepted.
Make sure you ask what kind of finances they are looking for in order to qualify to stay there. If you know you don't have it don't bother with the tour. Plymouth Place is a beautiful place to live. My parents moved to Plymouth Place in 2015.
You get pushed, then shut-out, then pushed. Nothing in life should be this complicated or this maddening. Many of the people in charge do not seem competent, there are a few exceptions, but one or two should not be expected to pick up the slack for everyone else. I am frightened, at this point, to leave my parent in this facility. The Plymouth Place nursing home has a 4-star overall rating, which is the second highest possible. The nursing home is in the top 30% of facilities in terms of overall rating, slightly higher than the state average.
The fact that one chooses to move into a graduated care facility doesn’t mean a lower quality of life - if anything it is an interesting new chapter with new friends. There are very few activities that one can’t find here. The staff here is more than capable and willing to help with most anything. They are professional as well as friendly and down to earth.
Whatever issues Plymouth Place may face, it is good to know the Board and staff are working in our best interests. Do we agree on all of the issues – no, but there is a sense that residents are very much a-part of the decision making process. All in all, it is a pleasure to be part of this community and a comfort to know that my current and future needs will be met. That is important to me since I have no children and do not want my nephews and niece to bear the burden of my care. When it was time for mom to enter assisted living, we looked at all of the options in the area. Plymouth Place stood out as the best from the very beginning and it has exceeded our expectations.
They could not have been ruder, quickly let me know that if we didn't have $1,000,000 forget trying to live there. I was here for rehab after knee replacement. I will return her in a few months for rehab on the other leg. It is classy , and very professional, Ide be proud to put one of my parents there to live one day.
Based on visiting Plymouth Place every day for the past four years. One star in my review is one star too many. My mother and stepfather have both spent time in the rehab facility at Plymouth Place. Especially by the overnight staff. My stepfather had the strength to get out of bed when he needed something whenever the staff failed to respond.
The certified beds number is how many Medicare and/or Medicaid beds are at the facility. Please check with the facility directly to determine the different types of beds that are available.
